
Farm Operations Leader

The Farm Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading the operations of a farm. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and coordination of crops from soil preparation through to harvest;
- Maintaining crop production by maximising optimal growing conditions, including cultivation, de-budding, thinning, pruning, nutrition management, fertigation, disease management and pest control;
- Maintaining and managing physical infrastructure and resources on-farm, including farm buildings, fencing, equipment and water supply systems;
This role may be based in a rural location.
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our farm operations. The successful candidate will have:
- A qualification in Agricultural Science or equivalent experience;
- A minimum 5 years of proven agricultural experience in a related role;
- Deep knowledge and experience with tree/vine orchard agronomy, cultural practices and management;
- Outstanding communication skills;
- Self-motivation and ability to work effectively as part of a team;

They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of professionals. - Coordinating and supervising staff, including providing guidance and support where necessary;
- Managing budgets and financial resources, ensuring that all expenses are accurately recorded and reported;
Skills and qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- A degree in Agricultural Science or equivalent experience;
- A minimum 5 years of proven agricultural experience in a related role;
- Deep knowledge and experience with tree/vine orchard agronomy, cultural practices and management;
- Excellent communication and leadership skills;
- Self-motivation and ability to work effectively as part of a team;
