Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Horticultural Operations Manager to oversee and execute all field operations, equipment use, and staff coordination for horticultural and land preparation activities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a qualification in Agricultural Science or similar field and at least 3 years of proven agricultural experience. They will also have outstanding communication skills, be self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure farm land preparations are completed according to established procedures.
  • Train and monitor the farm team to ensure tasks are completed to required standards.
  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly programs to ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Maintain and upkeep all machinery and equipment.
  • Operate required machinery and equipment to complete farming tasks.
  • Identify and report crop issues.
  • Liaise with the farm management team to identify corrective actions needed.
  • Develop and implement plans for the harvest period.

Work Environment

This role may be based in Mildura VIC, Swan Hill VIC, Manjimup WA, Griffith NSW, Hillston NSW, or Emerald QLD.
