  • Lead a team of Senior Investigation Officers in investigating high-priority, complex, and sensitive investigations related to early childhood education and care services.
  • Develop QARD's investigative capability by enhancing the skills and competency of staff to deliver investigative activities in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and government policy.
  • Provide authoritative and expert advice, information, and recommendations to senior management on investigations, sanctions, and other compliance matters.

  1. The ability to investigate alleged contraventions of legislation, including planning and recommending actions throughout the life of an investigation.
  2. Experience in the planning and conduct of operational investigations.
  3. The ability to identify, gather, and analyze evidence and information in a court-admissible manner.
  4. Strong conceptual and analytical skills, including an ability to interpret legislation, standards, guidelines, and practices to ensure effective regulation of the ECEC sector.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders (internal and external).
  6. Strong planning and organizing skills and attention to detail.
