About the Role

This critical role plays a pivotal part in Tobacco Licensing Victoria, requiring highly skilled investigators to lead and conduct regulatory investigations.

The main focus of this position is to provide disciplinary action and enforcement outcomes through inspections, search warrants, and compliance monitoring activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and search warrants to monitor compliance with legislation, policy, and procedures.
  • Accurately document and record all compliance activity according to legislative requirements.
  • Conduct inquiries, investigations, and compliance monitoring activities, including preparing comprehensive reports and briefs of evidence.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting complex investigations and preparing evidence-based briefs.
  • Proven experience in conducting compliance and enforcement operations within a regulatory or law enforcement environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations or relevant training/experience in conducting investigations in a regulatory context.
  • Tertiary qualification in law, investigations, or a related field.
