Executive Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead our Specialist Legal Programs. As the Head of this division, you will oversee the development and implementation of high-quality programs that make a lasting impact on society.

The Role:
  • Provide strategic leadership across Seniors Law and Self-Representation Law to ensure both programs are accessible, scalable, and effective.
  • Drive program growth and innovation to improve outcomes for older people, self-represented litigants, and communities.
  • Strengthen partnerships with health, aged care, courts, tribunals, and regulators to advance social justice.
  • Lead a team of managers and lawyers, fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
  • Manage budgets, workforce planning, risk, and funding relationships with government and philanthropic partners.
  • Contribute to our broader strategic and reform agenda as a member of the executive leadership team.
Key Accountabilities:
  1. Program Development: Drive the growth and innovation of Seniors Law and Self-Representation Law to improve outcomes for older people and self-represented litigants.
  2. Partnership Building: Strengthen relationships with health, aged care, courts, tribunals, and regulators to advance social justice.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead a team of managers and lawyers, fostering a safe, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
  4. Budget Management: Manage budgets, workforce planning, risk, and funding relationships with government and philanthropic partners.
  5. Strategic Contribution: Contribute to our broader strategic and reform agenda as a member of the executive leadership team.
Requirements:
  • A law degree and eligibility to practice in Australia (preferred).
  • 5+ years post-admission experience, ideally in public interest, civil justice, elder law, or community legal practice.
  • Proven leadership in program design, service delivery, evaluation, and growth.
  • Experience collaborating with courts, regulators, funders, and community partners.
  • Strong track record managing diverse teams, budgets, and funding arrangements.
  • A people-first leadership style that balances cultural reset, performance accountability, and inspiration.
  • Alignment with our social justice mission and values.
