Strategic Product Development Leader

The Strategic Product Development Leader will lead the development and delivery of product assortments that balance creativity, innovation, customer preferences, and market trends. The role requires a strong understanding of financial metrics, including revenue, margin, and inventory management, to drive profitable buying decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BUILDING AND IMPLEMENTING PRODUCT STRATEGY: Develop and deliver strategic plans for product assortment development, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
  • DESIGN DIRECTION: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product designs that meet customer needs and brand pillars.
  • INVENTORY MANAGEMENT: Take overall responsibility for intake margin, working closely with Design, Planning, and Sourcing teams to align product development objectives with business KPIs.
  • SALES AND MARGIN GROWTH: Work with Head of Design to influence product design direction, driving sales, intake margin, sell-through, and brand handwriting.
  • AGILITY AND INNOVATION: Proactively adapt to changing market trends, taking advantage of emerging opportunities to drive business growth.

Requirements:

  • Strategic thinking and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics and data-driven decision making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Buying, Retail Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications in buying, merchandising, or supply chain management advantageous.
