Job Title: Principal Windows Systems Engineer

Job Description

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing our Windows systems infrastructure across the enterprise to ensure our services are reliable, secure, scalable and performant. This role involves effectively working with other cross-functional teams within the organization to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy and manage Windows systems infrastructure and associated services including Active Directory, Group Policies and DNS services.
  • Develop and automate system processes to reduce manual intervention and minimize operational overhead.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or similar technologies.
  • Actively participate in incident management processes quickly identifying and resolving issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
  • Analyze and optimize system performance using monitoring and logging tools.
  • Work to improve response times and decrease downtime.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience leveraging automation to manage Windows systems and infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Strong technical experience implementing, managing and supporting windows systems infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages including Python and PowerShell.
  • Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities; available on a 24x7x365 basis when needed for production impacting incidents or key customer events.
