Job Title: Hospital Security Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospital Security Officer to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors within the hospital premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol and monitor hospital areas to detect and respond to any potential security risks.
  • Maintain awareness of security systems and respond promptly to incidents and emergencies.
  • Manage access control and identification verification for all hospital areas.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and law enforcement when necessary.
  • Resolve patient or visitor disputes in a calm and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Australian Working Rights.
  • Victorian Security License (Control Room Endorsement is advantageous).
  • Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher).
  • First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain.
  • Availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
  • Evidence of three COVID-19 vaccinations (highly regarded).
  • Proof of Hepatitis B serology showing immunity (>10 mIU/mL).
  • Proof of Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccination or serology showing immunity.
  • Evidence of two doses of Measles vaccine or serology showing immunity.
  • Pertussis (Whooping Cough) booster within the last 10 years (vaccination required, not serology).
