Hotel Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our hotel's night shift operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the hotel, creating a safe and exceptional guest journey from night until morning.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage on-duty staff during the night shift, ensuring seamless check-ins, check-outs and guest enquiries.
  • Perform night audit functions, accurately balancing hotel revenues in rooms and food & beverage.
  • Respond promptly to guest concerns, tracking and notifying relevant areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests.
  • Ensure the safety of our guests throughout the night, maintaining a secure environment at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Full Australian working rights – this role is not available for sponsorship.
  • A service-focused personality with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including across a 7-day roster, weekends and public holidays; shift hours are 11pm – 7am.
  • A good understanding of finance and accounting practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of Front Office operations.
  • Prior experience working with Opera Cloud or a related system.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Multi-tasking skills, being highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Leadership skills, able to lead by example, believe in a strong team culture and set the scene for high performance.
