Estimated Salary: $100,210 - $112,222 per annum (base salary)
Total Effective Package: $122,462 - $135,978 per annum* (*includes base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, and estimated tax saving from salary packaging options)
Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our team at Congress in the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Service. The SEWB team embeds three streams of care: medical, therapeutic, and cultural and social support with intensive case management as required.
The position provides psychosocial supports aimed at restoring socio-economic and cultural functioning to clients referred to Congress' Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) service. These clients may also present with co-existing challenges such as general and mental health issues, family and community violence, alcohol and other drugs (AOD), child protection concerns, offending, cultural needs, and many others.
As a Social Worker, you will assist individuals and their families to access evidence-based Social Work methodologies, including screening and assessments, case management, advocacy, outreach, supportive counselling, and group work. You will facilitate access to community services such as employment and other social opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualised plans to address clients' complex needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support
- Foster strong relationships with clients, families, and communities to promote cultural safety and understanding
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure best practice in Social Work
