Job Title: Research Information Consultant

Job Description
  • Provide expert research and analysis support to internal teams and clients, building relationships and representing the firm's brand with professionalism.

The role is part of a highly regarded team that delivers legal and business research assistance, curated news services, and research training across the firm.

You will work collaboratively with Legal and Business Development teams to identify and support research and information needs, delivering high-quality legal and business research using a range of Australian and international resources.

Key responsibilities include developing clear, insightful reports and presentations tailored to client and internal stakeholder needs, creating and maintaining learning materials, guides, and e-learning content to build research capability across the firm.

Additional tasks involve presenting and facilitating training sessions and workshops for staff and clients, monitoring trends and developments to inform the firm and its clients of relevant legal and business intelligence, curating and publishing tailored news services for practice and sector teams, advising on research strategies, tools, and resources, continuously evaluating and improving research services, contributing to technology implementation and enhancement for research and information delivery, managing small projects, and contributing to team knowledge sharing and development.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in law or information science, with excellent written and verbal communications skills, ability to deliver to deadlines, self-manage, and prioritize competing tasks.
  • Technical skills including Microsoft Office suite and legal research techniques, experience with legal and business research systems, news aggregation, and publishing systems.
  • Enthusiasm for emerging technologies and a willingness to unlearn and learn new skills and ways of working.
