Health Promotion Manager

The Health Education Team Lead is responsible for overseeing a diverse team of Health Education Officers, ensuring they have the skills and resources to deliver safe, high-quality support in a medically supervised injecting centre.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of Health Education Officers, fostering a workplace culture that is inclusive, respectful, and grounded in harm reduction principles.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to translate strategy into action.
- Provide frontline leadership by modelling best-practice responses to consumer presentations.
- Deliver training and education in harm reduction practice, promoting evidence-based approaches.
- Oversee staffing and manage operations within allocated resources.
- Lead health promotion and project initiatives, including strengthening engagement with First Nations peoples.
- Contribute to policy development, service evaluation, and report writing.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in health or community services.
- Strong knowledge of harm reduction approaches and issues impacting people who inject drugs.
- Able to manage staffing, operations, and compliance in a complex service environment.
- Excellent communication, training, and facilitation skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to advocate for positive outcomes for vulnerable communities.
