Job Title

The Program Manager oversees the conception, execution, and assessment of health promotion programs.

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Health Promotion, Public Health, Marketing/Communications, Management, Epidemiology or related disciplines, and/or substantial experience in one or more of these fields.
  • Leadership skills for designing health promotion programs aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Extensive expertise in project planning, implementation, and evaluation of population health promotion initiatives.

This role operates across all policy areas and is responsible for health promotion and research to reduce preventable health risks in the community. Certain aspects may vary depending on the team, such as healthy eating and active living, supportive environments, tobacco control, and smoke-free environments. Where applicable, disadvantaged populations, including Aboriginal and CALD communities, are adequately addressed in health promotion.

Contribution to Population Health's program of work aligns with the Ministry of Health and Sydney Local Health District's (SLHD) goals, principles, and strategies, meeting relevant District key performance indicators.

Driving overall planning, implementation, evaluation, reporting, and day-to-day management of current and future local and state-wide health promotion programs.
