As a senior industrial relations specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge payroll solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-impact environment and contribute to the development of a next-generation platform.

You will be responsible for interpreting complex enterprise agreements, ensuring payroll compliance, and driving effective remediation processes. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will be crucial in designing comprehensive testing regimes and reviewing processes to ensure the platform meets current obligations and is resilient to future changes in industrial regulations.

In this role, you will also take a proactive approach to identifying gaps, proposing enhancements, and documenting outcomes to contribute to the integrity and success of the new system. Your commitment to best practice, compliance, and continuous improvement will position you as a trusted partner and key contributor to this transformative project.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Considerable experience in industrial/employee relations, including specialist expertise in employment law
  • Hands-on experience with payroll, a detailed understanding of relevant legislative frameworks, and a proven track record of successfully implementing compliance measures within large organisations
  • Experience engaging with unions and a strong understanding of union priorities and practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present findings, explain regulatory considerations, and facilitate training
  • Tertiary qualification with a degree in employee/industrial relations, human resources, law, or a related discipline
