As a pastoral care volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of elderly residents living in their own homes. This rewarding role involves regular visits, providing emotional support and companionship to those who need it most.

About the Role
  • Support individuals to meet their spiritual needs and improve their overall quality of life.

You will work closely with an experienced Pastoral Care Coordinator, who will provide guidance and support throughout your journey. To prepare for this role, you can attend HammondCare's pastoral care training – Spiritual Care Series.

Pastoral care volunteers play a vital part in our team, offering companionship and emotional support to those who require it. If you possess strong interpersonal skills, including empathy and listening skills, and a passion for making a difference in your community, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements
  • Age 18 or older
  • National Police Check arranged and paid for by us
  • A minimum commitment of one hour per week for six months or longer, available Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm

We offer ongoing support, invitations to social events, as well as specific pastoral care training and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our clients.
