Job Overview

The Finance Systems Specialist will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our financial systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Administration of finance systems, ensuring accurate maintenance of the chart of accounts, organisational hierarchy, approval limits, and user access;
  • Supporting the management and coordination of the Finance Systems Help Desk, tracking and resolving incidents and problems;
  • Investigating system errors and discrepancies, working closely with internal teams and vendors to implement solutions;
  • Identifying opportunities for system enhancements and collaborating with stakeholders to implement improvements;
  • Developing and maintaining financial reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision-making and financial analysis;
  • Maintaining strong relationships with software providers to ensure system performance and support.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, information systems, or a related field;
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and internal controls;
  • Experience with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), financial reporting tools, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI);
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve system issues effectively;
  • Experience in developing financial policies, procedures, and process improvements;
  • Strong commitment to staff training and development in financial systems.
