Job Description

As a Quality and Service Improvement Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing, promoting, and influencing the quality and safety of services. The focus will be on creating mechanisms to support delivery of safe and high-quality Out of Home Care services, Sustaining Families services, and practices in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee quality and safeguarding to meet all legislative and organisational standards while managing registration, audits, and promoting culturally safe practices for First Nations children.
  • Develop and review local procedures and improvement plans, lead audits, and ensure actions are tracked and completed.
  • Coordinate responses to incidents and complaints, maintain accurate records, and ensure reporting meets all requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training on care standards and policy to staff while supporting local and national practice improvements.

This is a part-time position with 0.8 FTE/4 days a week. The base salary for this role is $110,102 - $114,983/annum (based on 1.0 FTE), + super + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A recognised Social Work, Quality or Business Management qualification.
  • Minimum two years' experience in child safety, out of home care or family services with at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy review within a quality framework and developing and maintaining quality and practice procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality management, compliance, and accreditation coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and current thinking regarding child safety out of home care and child safeguarding.
