Job Title: Operational Excellence Lead

The Quality Systems and Performance Manager oversees quality systems/processes and conducts internal audits, monitoring for non-conformance trends and ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.

This role requires a strong understanding of quality management systems, tools and relevant ISO standards. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quality, Business, Management, Mathematics, or a related field and prior experience in coordination of quality management activities.

The successful candidate will also have knowledge of statistical analysis and quality improvement methodologies and experience working in defence or equivalent regulated industries would be beneficial.

The role is based in South Canberra district and offers a permanent, full-time position with industry-competitive salary, opportunities for career growth and advancement, and a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and improve quality strategy plans, policies, procedures and practices as described in the Management System
  • Review and analyse statistical data using quality management software to identify areas for improvement
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, guidelines and control records
  • Conduct risk assessments and address potential quality issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve product, service and asset performance targets
