Job Title: Quality and Service Improvement Lead

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the development of mechanisms that support safe and high-quality Out of Home Care services, Sustaining Families services and practices in the ACT.

This role will oversee quality and safeguarding to meet legislative and organisational standards while managing registration, audits, and promoting culturally safe practices for First Nations children.

  • Oversight of quality and safeguarding processes to ensure compliance with legislation and organisational standards.
  • Development and review of local procedures and improvement plans, leading audits and tracking actions.
  • Coordination of responses to incidents and complaints, maintaining accurate records and ensuring reporting meets requirements.
  • Providing guidance and training on care standards and policy to staff, supporting local and national practice improvements.

This is a part-time (0.8 FTE/ 4 days a week) ongoing position with opportunities for growth and professional development.

About You
  • A recognised Social Work, Quality or Business Management Qualification is required.
  • Minimum two years' experience in child safety, out of home care or family services with at least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy review within a quality framework and developing and maintaining quality and practice procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality management, compliance and accreditation coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures and current thinking regarding child safety out of home care and child safeguarding.
