Medical Devices Safety Specialist

We are seeking a Medical Devices Safety Specialist to join our team.

Role Overview:

The Medical Devices Post Market Monitoring Section is responsible for ongoing monitoring of the safety and performance of medical devices supplied in Australia. This includes risk-based assessments of reports, conducting investigations, reviewing conditions of supply, and maintaining surveillance of medical device safety.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Risk-based assessments of all reports entered into the Incident Report Investigation Scheme (IRIS) database
  • Conducting in-depth investigations as necessary
  • Reviewing reports submitted as part of conditions of supply
  • Maintaining surveillance of medical device safety based on signals from various sources

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
