Job Title: Medical Device Specialist

About the Role:
  • Deliver on-site servicing, maintenance, and support services across NSW healthcare facilities
  • Perform installations and troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues to ensure optimal device performance
  • Replace mechanical and electronic components as required to maintain devices in good working condition
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and adhere to safety and compliance standards

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for medical equipment in various hospital settings, including operating theatres and patient care areas
  • Solve complex problems related to device installation and maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal patient care
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless device integration and optimal performance
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments through ongoing training and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in medical devices, preferably with exposure to operating theatre environments
  • Proven field service experience and ability to travel interstate, with a valid Australian driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field, demonstrating strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and patients
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
