The Victorian Cardiovascular Research Network Lead plays a pivotal role in driving day-to-day operations and supporting the growth of the cardiovascular research network in Victoria.
This position works closely with the Chair of the Network (external) and the Victorian General Manager (internal) to implement strategic goals.
Key responsibilities include coordinating high-profile CVRN events, managing secretariat functions for Executive Committee meetings, and building connections with researchers, funding bodies, health networks, and government agencies.
Responsibilities- Provide expert support to the CVRN Executive Committee, including minute-taking, managing action items, and reporting.
- Lead the coordination of key events like the Annual Cardiovascular Showcase and capacity-building workshops for researchers.
- Develop and implement effective social media and communications strategies to promote cardiovascular research in Victoria.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across research, health, and government sectors.
- Identify collaboration and funding opportunities that benefit the network's stakeholders.
- Represent the Network at external meetings and forums to further our mission.
