About Our Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our cardiovascular research network in Victoria.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the health and medical research environment in Victoria and Australia, including research funding schemes and collaborative networks.
This is a part-time opportunity (0.6 FTE) with hybrid working options, requiring the ability to manage projects, work proactively and autonomously.
The role involves providing secretariat support to the CVRN Executive Committee, leading the coordination of high-profile events, and supporting social media and communications to promote cardiovascular research in Victoria.
The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills for audiences ranging from government, researchers, executives, donors, and general community.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing strategic support to drive day-to-day operations and growth of the cardiovascular research network.
Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across research, health, and government sectors.
Representing the network at external meetings and forums to further our mission.
Requirements
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the health and medical research environment in Victoria and Australia.
Experience in planning and delivering research, capacity building, and/or networking events.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Proven collaboration and high-level negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
