Job Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to drive meaningful impact in cardiovascular research and contribute to the growth of the Victorian research ecosystem.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading operations for a cardiovascular research network, providing administrative support to the CVRN Executive Committee and coordinating prominent events and workshops for researchers.

  • Provide executive support to the CVRN Executive Committee, including note-taking, action item management, and reporting.
  • Lead the coordination of prominent CVRN events and workshops for researchers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Support communications to promote cardiovascular research in Victoria, leveraging various channels to reach diverse stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across research, health, and government sectors, ensuring effective partnerships and collaborations.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic growth and development, driving the network's mission forward.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in the health and medical research environment in Victoria and Australia, including research funding schemes and collaborative networks.
  • Proven experience in planning and delivering research, capacity building, and/or networking events that showcase the network's capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage projects proactively and autonomously.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders, work effectively with committees, and negotiate on behalf of the network.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences, from government officials to community members.
