About the Role

Think Talent is seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join our client, a values-driven organisation dedicated to providing comprehensive acute and sub-acute hospital care. As a key member of the HR team, you will provide high-quality advice and support on complex employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, and non-work-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and support on industrial and employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, and workplace investigations.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements, and provide up-to-date information and advice to stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the IR/ER knowledge and skills of the HR team, payroll, and managers.
  • Liaise with industrial unions to prevent and manage disputes, and conduct impartial investigations to address complaints and mitigate organisational risk.
  • Provide advice on, and assist in the management of, complaints/claims with external regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree or postgraduate qualification in Employment Law or Industrial Relations.
  • Proven experience in employee and industrial relations, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and awards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
