Where the team fits in

The Learning & Development team reports through to Broker Operations, a part of the broader REA Financial Services business inclusive of Mortgage Choice, our national mortgage broker network and business. Financial Services consists of Broker Operations, Distribution, Corporate Communications & Franchise Marketing, Product and Technology.

Mortgage Choice comprises a network of over 1,000 mortgage brokers and the FS

business is responsible for growing, supporting and enabling the franchise network to serve Australians with their home loan needs.

Learning & Development is accountable for leading, delivering and enhancing the ongoing development, competencies and capabilities of our franchise owners, their loans consultants and by extension the Financial Services business. The team is responsible for delivering a coordinated program of learning underpinned by the principles of business success targeted to its audience. The function is pivotal to the onboarding of new recruits to the network as well as the successful delivery of new initiatives and change across the business.

What the role is all about

As the Senior Learning and Development Specialist, you will be a key strategic partner in driving Mortgage Choices training and development initiatives for the Mortgage Choice broker network. Leveraging your high expertise in learning and development, you will collaborate with stakeholders to assess needs, design

innovative learning solutions, and deliver impactful programs that enhance franchisee performance and drive business results. Working within the Mortgage Choice Learning & Development Team, you will be accountable for designing and delivering a coordinated program of learning tailored to the unique needs of our audience, underpinned by the principles of business success. You will lead initiatives related to onboarding new recruits, up-skilling existing brokers, delivering new initiatives, and driving successful change across the business, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives. As a senior member of the L&D team, you will also provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, contribute to the development of L&D strategies, and lead initiatives to continuously improve learning practices across the organisation.

Who we’re looking for

Certificate IV Training & Assessment a must, Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, HR, Learning Sciences, Leadership and Management or a related field is preferred. Advanced degree or certification is a plus

5 years experience in senior learning and development roles, with demonstrated expertise in L&D strategy, program development, program management, and leadership development.

Proven track record of designing and implementing impactful learning solutions that drive business results.

Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Has strong knowledge of adult learning principals and human centric design as well as agile methodologies, and project and change management.

Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.

The ability to build relationships, become a trusted advisor and influence stakeholders.

Experience working with learning management systems (eg Docebo) and learning analytics tools preferred.
