Perinatal Specialist

A professional with advanced clinical expertise in perinatal social work is required to provide high-quality patient care and support families during the perinatal period.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Deliver clinical social work services consistent with NSW Health policies and standards.
- Utilize specialized knowledge in perinatal/women's health to inform practice.
- Hold qualifications as outlined in Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award.
- Be eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Possess extensive post-graduate experience in clinical social work practice within perinatal/women's health, including working with issues of attachment, bereavement, trauma, child protection and domestic and family violence.
- Demonstrate high-level negotiation, decision-making and advocacy skills.
- Have post Graduate experience in working with Indigenous people and marginalized groups.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning skills and independent judgment.
