Workforce Australia for Individuals is looking for skilled Mechanical Engineering Technicians to contribute to a variety of projects across New South Wales in an onsite role.

Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 base salary plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Duties
  1. Conduct maintenance, repairs, and modifications on machinery and equipment.
  2. Perform routine testing, inspections, and maintenance of machinery, collecting data for further analysis.
  3. Prepare detailed mechanical diagnostic reports and provide insights to relevant departments.
  4. Oversee and coordinate inspections and maintenance tasks performed by external contractors.
  5. Install, replace, or repair major components, mechanical assemblies, and hydraulic systems.
  6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs conducted on machinery.
  7. Interpret technical schematics and select appropriate tools and methods for modifications or repairs.
  8. Uphold high standards of practice concerning Quality Assurance and safety protocols.
  9. Order and procure mechanical parts, tools, and equipment as necessary.
  10. Educate team members on proper operating procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  11. Respond to onsite emergencies, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
  1. Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
  3. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams.
  4. Experience in diagnosing hydraulic systems is essential.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity is advantageous.
