Candidates must possess relevant field knowledge and at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.

The primary responsibilities of the Executive Chef include:

  • Preparing a diverse range of specialty items, including Indian and subcontinent dishes, such as Sri Lankan, Malaysian, and Bangladeshi cuisine, as well as tandoori bread.
  • Preparing Dosa/ Idli Batter, Sambar, and chutneys on a daily basis and ensuring the quality of all base sauces.
  • Planning, sourcing, and estimating food and commodities for menus.
  • Prioritizing menus, recipes, and task sheets to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
  • Operating and maintaining specialized kitchen equipment.
  • Planning and organizing logical work sequences within time constraints.
  • Communicating effectively with other kitchen staff and food service personnel.
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team.
  • Maintaining product, service, and equipment knowledge.
  • Demonstrating a high standard of personal hygiene and adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Ensuring high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen.

The ideal candidate will possess skills in a wide range of cookery methods to produce a variety of menu items.

They will also be able to plan and sequence the timing of food preparation and tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
