About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Commis Chef to join our culinary team at RACV Healesville Country Club & Resort. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting in the effective operation of our kitchens and contributing to the delivery of exceptional food experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Work collaboratively with our team of chefs to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen
  • Develop and maintain knife skills, cooking techniques, and other culinary skills
  • Contribute to the rotation of stock and minimization of waste
  • Follow directions from senior chefs and work as a team player to achieve kitchen goals
  • Adhere to WHS policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
  • Completed a Certificate 3 in Cookery qualification, recognized in Australia
  • Previous cooking experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or a la carte restaurant environment
  • Developed knife and cookery skills
  • Ability to thrive in a large, busy, and fast-paced work environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Committed and passionate about cooking with a strong focus on food quality and presentation
  • Excellent personal presentation
