About the Role

The Brisbane City Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ward Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Walter Taylor Ward Office, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our residents and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality customer service to residents and stakeholders, ensuring a positive and responsive experience.
  • Provide administrative support to the Ward Office, including diary management, document organization, and budget monitoring.
  • Assist in preparing for meetings and events, and contribute to a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community groups, stakeholders, and Council officers.
  • Research and write reports, and handle sensitive information in accordance with Council policy.
  • Utilize social media channels and photo editing software to enhance our online presence.

Requirements

  • Proven customer service experience with a strong focus on outcomes and resolving diverse customer requests.
  • Excellent administrative and secretarial skills, including experience with customer database systems.
  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Well-developed communication and research skills, with the ability to write reports and handle sensitive information.
  • Experience with social media channels and photo editing software.
