Coordinate and support our community lunches at two locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome lunch volunteers and create a warm space for diners
  • Brief the team on ASC's community lunches and communication with people seeking asylum
  • Set up the kitchen and prepare food to Food Safety standards
  • Orientate lunch volunteers to the kitchen and provide safety instructions
  • Support lunch volunteers to leave the kitchen clean and tidy
  • Complete Attendance and Feedback forms
  • Respond to questions from lunch volunteers
  • Report incidents and escalate client needs beyond the Lunch program

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience working with vulnerable people and in commercial kitchens
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead a group of lunch volunteers

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Food Safety certificates and Hospitality qualifications
  • Former clients and people with lived experience encouraged to apply
