A career-defining opportunity has arisen to lead the land programmes sector of our business. Build and take ownership of a portfolio of land products, developing exceptional experiences for guests.
We are seeking an experienced professional to manage pre-cruise and post-cruise extensions. Reporting to the General Manager and with the support of a Land Programs Coordinator, this role will take ownership of land programmes development and delivery.
This hands-on position will effectively lead, manage and develop one Land Programme Coordinator. It will also involve sourcing and developing new product proposals for clients, coordinating programme delivery with cruise lines and their onboard teams, managing tour leaders, coaches and suppliers, and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership - Effectively lead, manage and develop one Land Programme Coordinator, book and coordinate Tour Leaders and casual staff to ensure they are prepared for programme delivery.
- Product Development - Source and develop new product proposals for clients.
- Product Implementation - Coordinate programme delivery with cruise lines and their onboard teams.
- Ground Operations - Manage tour leaders, coaches and suppliers to ensure programme delivery meets high standards.
- Administration - Manage presales and waitlists from cruise line partners and update port partners on sales.
- Contractual Obligations - Ensure all services are booked and delivered to meet contractual obligations.
- A highly motivated team player with a tertiary qualification in tourism and a minimum 2 years' relevant experience.
- An innovative approach to developing land products and delivering ground operations, plus relevant travel industry experience.
- Sound knowledge of Australian ports & cities.
- Experience providing logistical or operational service within cruise or tourism.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Strong administrative skills and the ability to learn new systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure.
