Role Overview:

The position of Children's Ministry and Primary School Spiritual Education (SRE) Advisor is a pivotal role in supporting the growth and development of children's ministry within Anglican churches in Southern Sydney.

About the Role:

  • Strengthen Primary School SRE amongst Anglican churches
  • Create and deliver high-quality training for SRE teachers and ministry leaders
  • Strengthen children's ministry amongst Anglican churches
  • Regularly read and write on issues relating to ministry to children's and Primary School SRE
  • Participate in various conferences throughout the year
  • Lecture at college and assist in mentoring students, recruitment, and job placement

Your Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for the importance of ministry to children
  • Support local church ministry, Anglican SRE Teachers, and leverage ministry resources
  • Develop strategic plans to strengthen children's ministry and SRE
  • Collaborate with churches and leaders to provide advisory, training, and coaching services

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Theology (preferably Bachelor of Theology, minimum Diploma)
  • Experience as a Children's minister in a Sydney Anglican Church or similar (at least 3 years' experience)
  • Experience in teaching Primary School SRE (at least 3 years' experience)
  • A personal Christian faith and willingness to work within an Anglican organisation
