About the Role

The Australian Public Service (APS) is seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join its team in Canberra. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to rise to a new challenge and work on a major, multi-decade Defence project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide security officer services and advice to Hunter Class Frigate Branch (HCFB) personnel.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from Defence and Defence Industry partners.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple branch and project tasks and activities simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership experience including the ability to supervise and mentor team members.
  • Experience as a Security Officer or Assistant Security Officer (highly desirable).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
