About this role

We are looking for a skilled IT professional to join our team as a technical support specialist. In this exciting opportunity, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' IT infrastructure and systems.

As a member of our technical support team, your primary focus will be on providing expert-level support to our clients, identifying and resolving technical issues, and ensuring that their systems remain operational at all times.

Your day-to-day activities will include monitoring client infrastructure, identifying potential problems before they occur, and implementing proactive measures to prevent downtime. You will also be responsible for investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions to resolve these issues.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively interact with clients, both verbally and in writing. Your ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities will also be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor client infrastructure and identify potential problems
  • Investigate incidents and identify root causes
  • Implement effective solutions to resolve incidents
  • Provide expert-level support to clients
  • Schedule maintenance activity windows for patching and configuration changes
  • Follow handover procedures for shift changes to ensure service continuity
  • Report and escalate incidents as necessary
  • Ensure efficient and comprehensive resolutions of incidents and requests
  • Update knowledge articles or create new ones
  • Identify opportunities for work optimization, including automation and process improvement

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience)
  • Certifications relevant to the services provided
  • Entry-level experience with troubleshooting and providing support in security / network/ data center/ systems/ storage administration and monitoring Services
  • Basic knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and products within the supported technical domain
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL processes
