Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our compassionate inter-disciplinary palliative care team in Central Adelaide.
About the Role
- In this position, you will provide counselling and bereavement support to patients with complex psychosocial needs and their families.
- You will work collaboratively with dedicated professionals to plan, implement, evaluate, and review a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the psychosocial needs of our community.
- You'll respond to organisational requests for specialist palliative care psychosocial advice and provide professional consultancy to management and staff.
About You
- You hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification, making you eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- You are a highly effective communicator (verbal and written), adaptable to change, skilled in counselling and psycho-social assessments, and capable of working in interdisciplinary settings.
- You bring significant experience in health settings, including providing counselling, making complex clinical decisions, and collaborating with diverse professionals and communities.
- You possess a deep understanding of social work theories, psycho-social intervention strategies, grief theory, and culturally sensitive practices, including the health needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
