As a Community Domestic Worker, you will play an essential role in providing care and support that meets our client's goals, needs, and preferences. **About the Role**:
As a Community Care Worker, you will assist clients with general household tasks, day-to-day activities, and personal hygiene and care based on their individual needs. You will be part of a supportive team that positively impacts older individuals and improves their quality of life in the comfort of their homes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist with personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, dressing, and skin checks.
- Provide medication support by prompting, administering, and supervising medication.
- Assist with tasks within your scope of practice as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Engage in social interactions and provide companionship.
- Transport clients to appointments and assist them during social outings.
- Perform domestic duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Meet the goals, needs, and preferences outlined by the client and/or their advocate.
- Communicate, report, and document changes, deterioration, and concerns regarding clients to the Case Manager.
- Participate in staff training, appraisals, and team meetings.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by gathering client feedback and adapting to workforce changes.
- Be actively involved in an incident management system.
**Essential Criteria**:
- A Certificate III in Individual Support or higher.
- A current unrestricted driver’s license with comprehensive insurance and access to your vehicle.
- Access to a reliable, registered, and insured motor vehicle.
- Access to a mobile device.
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt to the changing needs and schedules of our home care clients.
**Desirable Skills**:
- First Aid & CPR, Manual Handling Certificate.
- Understanding of Italian culture and language.
- Experience working with the elderly and knowledge of aged care issues.
