Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Home Care Support Specialist to join our team. As a Home Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to clients with daily living activities, enabling them to live at home safely and independently.
About the Role
Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalized support to clients, performing tasks such as household chores, meal preparation, and transportation. You will also engage in social interaction and provide companionship to our clients, promoting their mental and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including household chores, meal preparation, and personal care.
- Provide transportation for clients to appointments and social outings.
- Engage in social interaction and provide companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- A full Australian driver's license and comprehensive insurance.
- A reliable, registered, and insured motor vehicle.
- Access to a smart mobile device.
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt to changing client needs and schedules.
Desirable Skills
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Manual Handling Certificate.
- Experience working with the elderly and knowledge of aged care issues.
