Drinking Water Professional

This is a critical role in the delivery of safe and efficient drinking water to our community.
As a Water Treatment Specialist, you will play a vital part in ensuring the water supply meets quality standards. You will be responsible for operating treatment plants, monitoring water quality parameters, collecting samples, conducting laboratory analysis, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
The ideal candidate will have experience in water treatment operations, SCADA system knowledge, mechanical and electrical aptitude, chemical handling skills, and willingness to obtain certification in the water industry.
- Responsibilities include:
- Operating drinking water treatment plants efficiently and safely.
- Monitoring water quality parameters and taking corrective action as necessary.
- Collecting and testing water samples, analyzing data, and making informed decisions.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
- Ensuring compliance with Drinking Water Guidelines and regulations.
- Maintaining accurate operational records and reporting incidents.
Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, be willing to work in a dynamic environment, and adapt to changing circumstances.
