An exciting opportunity exists for a proactive and energetic Health and Safety Partner to join our national Health and Safety team, supporting a network of 13 operational quarries.

This role involves collaborating with frontline teams to deliver strong alignment between operational risks and health and safety controls. Your primary focus is to support our Victorian Metro and Regional Quarries Business by understanding business unit level issues, implementing controls, and reviewing compliance and assurance measures. You will also engage with leaders and employees on site, creating learning opportunities from issues and incidents to enable them to perform more effectively.

As a true business partner, you will build an intimate understanding of our operations and forge strong relationships with stakeholders to drive positive safety outcomes. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity requiring flexibility to travel to various sites in Melbourne and across Victoria. You will be provided with a motor vehicle allowance, allowing you to enjoy weekends with your family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with operational leaders on risk management
  • Develop operational teams' health and safety capacity through specialist advice, support, and coaching
  • Support the roll-out and implementation of the Health and Safety Strategy and Business Unit Plan
  • Facilitate incident response and subsequent analysis and learnings
  • Support operations in preparing, managing, and responding to HSE Regulatory Compliance inspections, audits, statutory reports, and prescribed incident notifications
  • Implement the HSEQ Management System & National Programs
  • Ensure Assurance Audits are completed according to the Audit and Assurance Program and monitor closeout of WHS actions.
