Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching operations teams in key risk management activities, including customer workplace risk assessments and compliance with customer risk management activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and coach operations teams on risk management best practices.
- Review the quality of information submitted by sites into our risk management system.
- Chair monthly health and safety meetings and participate in operational meetings.
- Analyze incidents to identify trends and implement preventative action.
- Conduct risk assessments onsite with account managers and provide guidance and support throughout the process.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Cert IV or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- 1-3 years practical experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the transport or logistics industry.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- A strong understanding of business issues and restraints faced by line managers in implementing health and safety processes and programs.
Technical Skills:
- Solid knowledge of HSE legislation.
- Experience in conducting incident investigations.
- Competent computing skills, advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
