Health, Safety and Risk Specialist

We are seeking a professional to join our team in the role of Health, Safety and Wellbeing specialist.
The successful candidate will provide expert advice and support to managers and staff across the organisation, focusing on best practice strategies and solutions for health, safety and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities include implementing emergency management procedures, monitoring legislation and standards, recommending strategies, and participating in the development of HSW systems.
Additionally, the role involves providing advice on HSW issues and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance HSW practices across the organisation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Developing, implementing, and overseeing emergency organisations including EPCs & ECOs.
- A deep understanding of health, safety, and wellbeing legislation, compliance codes, and strategies for their successful deployment.
- Proven capacity to consult effectively on workplace risk assessments and develop practical resolution strategies.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance competing demands, prioritise effectively, and work to deadlines.
- Ability to provide concise and practical advice to line managers on HSW issues.
- A degree in occupational health and safety or related discipline along with subsequent relevant experience.
- Certificate IV in Assessment and Training (preferable).
