Safety Manager and Risk Specialist

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in work health and safety, emergency management, risk management, incident management governance, and compliance. They must be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as a proven track record in implementing effective WHS, security, and risk management systems.
**Key Accountabilities:
- Facilitate the delivery of a comprehensive safety assurance process aligned with regulations and corporate governance standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, identify potential risks, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant governmental regulations and requirements related to security and safety.
- Develop and maintain an enterprise risk framework, supporting the business in proactively identifying, assessing, treating, and monitoring operational risks.
- Provide guidance and support during crisis events, adhering to the Business Continuity Policy and Crisis Management Plan.
- Lead and coordinate the operational audit program, encompassing both internal and external audits.
- Identify compliance risk areas, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure the implementation of plans and controls to meet regulatory obligations.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
- Demonstrated expertise in work health and safety, emergency management, risk management, incident management governance, and compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong risk management skills and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of WHS legislation and management processes.
- Proven track record in implementing practical and effective WHS, security, and risk management systems.
