Job Title: Child Safety Risk Management Specialist
OverviewThe successful candidate will support the Child Safety Program Manager in implementing child safety policies and providing expert risk management advice to stakeholders. The role involves assessing current risk assessments, building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, and conducting site visits to evaluate harm and recommend control measures.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and conduct Child Safety Risk Assessments on site with relevant stakeholders to evaluate harm and recommend control measures.
- Review and inform Child Safe Risk Assessments in collaboration with subject matter experts across child safety, youth programs, service delivery, operations, health, safety and wellbeing.
- Develop educational materials to support the implementation of child safety risk assessments within the organisation's programs and service delivery functions.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure effective risk management and compliance with child safety legislation and regulation.
- Experience developing, implementing and evaluating Child Safety Risk Assessments.
- Extensive experience leading the development and establishment of risk assessments involving vulnerable children and young people.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
- Knowledge of risk systems and proven success in end-to-end risk management with experience in assurance processes.
- Qualifications in Compliance and Risk, Quality Management or related field are preferred, or equivalent experience.
