We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Sustainable Business, Marketing & Communications team as a First Nations Community Engagement Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing our reconciliations efforts and delivering on our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commitments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development of future RAPs with support from our Reconciliation Steering Committee, Reconciliation Advisory Community, leadership team, and RAP Champions.
  • Facilitating culturally sensitive presentations to raise awareness and educate on First Nations culture.
  • Representing Sandvik at forums and building relationships with community groups.
  • Engaging with local communities and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinating, delivering, and evaluating community sponsored programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Developing strong partnerships with local communities.


Requirements:


  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement, communication, and/or community development.
  • Effective communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • Relationship building skills and experience working with First Nations communities and organisations.
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites within Australia.
