About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technology Director to lead our Digital Transformation Program at Westpac Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our overall end-to-end test and release management strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive release management strategy for large-scale cross-divisional programs.
  • Design and deliver a comprehensive test strategy for large-scale cross-divisional programs.
  • Work closely with divisions, Technology, and Group Business Units to develop and maintain an integrated release plan.
  • Collaborate with the UNITE Test Capability Uplift Initiative to ensure the delivery of test environments, data, practices, and controls required to support the UNITE test strategy and release plan.
  • Drive a coordinated approach with divisional test directors, including downstream coordination, reporting, UAT approach, reconciliation, sequencing.
  • Drive improvement in test and release management practices as part of the UNITE Execution Framework.
  • Identify and drive uplift in BAU capability required to support UNITE requirements.
  • Define and implement standard test tools and practices, including standards for capturing testable requirements capable of automation.
  • Define test automation strategy and drive improvements and standards for UNITE.
  • Define the delivery model for the services required to implement the strategy and plan, including working with BAU owners to uplift capability as required.
Requirements
  • Strong Project and Program Management experience.
  • Experience designing and delivering a comprehensive release management strategy for large-scale cross-divisional programs at a major bank.
  • Experience designing and delivering a comprehensive test strategy for large-scale cross-divisional programs at a major bank.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement capability.
  • Experience driving standardized tools and practices use across an organization.
  • Experience delivering technology change.
  • Ethical Decision Making & Judgement.
  • Risk aware.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related study/experience.
