About the Role:
The Associate Service Technician 24/7 position is a vital role that significantly contributes to the continuity and efficiency of our DC Operations teams.
This role encompasses supporting customers, maintenance and monitoring activities, and is a key role in CDC's career pathways initiative with investment in learning and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and engage with Customers, Service Technicians and contractors undertaking support activities and overseeing maintenance works.
- Monitor critical infrastructure to ensure continuity of services and no disruption to client's or business operations.
- Utilise electronic monitoring systems to proactively oversee and monitor site conditions.
- Respond to customer requests and critical events swiftly.
- Ensure personnel are performing activities safely and in accordance with CDC's processes and procedures.
- Provide timely reporting of events, and support restoration to normal operations.

You'll learn hands-on by shadowing and working alongside our experienced Service Technicians, gaining essential knowledge to develop your skillset.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability of our data centres, offering an excellent avenue for those looking to launch their career in the Data Centre industry.
About You:
This is a great opportunity for someone who might not necessarily have a trade qualification but has an interest in growing and developing a career within a rapidly growing technology company.
- Previous working exposure within IT, telecommunications, fibre, trade, industrial facilities, or other technical environments.
- Exposure to working with diverse teams, including internal stakeholders, SMEs and external service providers.
- Ability to identify risks and provide effective and innovative solutions.
Essential:
- Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
