Claims Investigator, Casualty and Professional Indemnity

At Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, we are seeking a talented Claims Investigator to join our team in Sydney. As a Claims Investigator, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving claims made against our insurance policies in relation to Casualty, Professional Indemnity, and Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review allocated cases and achieve settlement within designated personal authority level, in line with established standards, procedures, and guidance provided
- Identify non-standard or complex claims and escalate to supervisor to ensure they are handled appropriately
- Conduct pro-active settlement through negotiation, mediation, global settlement, or litigation and escalate to supervisor when necessary
- Identify suspicious or fraudulent claims and escalate to supervisor for appropriate actions
- Manage customer interactions in an efficient, courteous, and timely manner to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction
- Organize and use approved internal and/or external suppliers to ensure appropriate and timely services are provided to customers
- Support more experienced colleagues in the handling of non-standard cases
- Assist in preparation of reports or analysis where necessary
Requirements:
- Relevant academic qualifications or Law graduate
- Minimum 4 years' solid working experience in Casualty, Professional Indemnity, and/or Healthcare claims or Law graduate with experience of 3rd party claims
- Certificate of General Insurance or equivalent
- Team player with ability to work independently and under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills and customer service-oriented attitude
