About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Depot Operations Coordinator to join our team at Pacific National. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our terminal depot.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the movement of trains within the terminal depot, ensuring timely and safe operations.
  • Operate and maintain forklifts and gantry cranes, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of trains and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective teamwork and communication, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve depot operations, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
Requirements
  • Current LF licence (Forklift) and gantry crane licence (advantageous)
  • Strong commitment to enforcing a safety culture and promoting a culture of excellence
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Hold a current motor vehicle license and have a good mechanical aptitude
